PPF - Round 22

Time for the Duckie survey of the week. And I just can’t pick one.

PAST: Marbles, dolls, board games or dirt?

Marbles: I never played with them as a game, they were just fun things to ohhh and ahhh at.
Dolls: I loved Dolls; Barbie, paper, you name it. My grandmother would crochet underwear on them and so store bought clothes wouldn’t fit. I once threw a fit about it and my barbies ran away. For three days I sobbed because my barbies didn’t want to be with a girl who was so selfish that she wouldn’t accept the clothes her grandmother made her as a gift. See told you toys come to life when you go to sleep. ;D
Board games: Love them. Although I can’t stand playing with someone who whines if they start losing. I would rather not play then listen to a sore loser.
Dirt: Fun, clean, and good for baking in the Arizona sun. Dirt has limitless possibilities and I envy my daughter as she gets dirty from head to toe everyday. I’ll have to talk about the matchbox town my brother and I made with dirt sometime.

PRESENT: Dancing, driving, reading or gabbing?

Dancing: I love to dance, Karel can’t stand to, so I haven’t had a chance to dance in a long time. Which is why I joined a dance class recently. You want the key to romance with me? Slow music and a romantic slow dance….(shiver)oh yeah. There is something about dancing that satisfies every romantic fantasy I’ve got.
Driving: Driving is great for thinking. But between kids and my job, it’s lost it’s appeal as a preferred activity. I feel more like a taxi or truck driver then I do as someone who enjoys the road.
Reading: Love to read, it helps to calm me down, it helps me to escape, it helps me to sleep….it’s the perfect activity when your by yourself.
Gabbing: I can gab with the best of them, however I’ve never found someone that I can gab about what I really think.

FUTURE: Ranting, raving, pissing or moaning?

Ranting: It can have it’s uses, but one has to be careful, it’s really easy to blow things completely out of proportion when you sit there and rant to friends. I’ve learned recently how horribly it can be taken to extremes.
Raving: Aren’t we all?
Pissing: I’ve changed too many diapers for this one. (chuckle)
Moaning: Unless it’s in the bedroom, I don’t want to hear it. It doesn’t accomplish or help anything. And I’ve always been thankful when I get brought up short when I do it.

Ok, there we go, this weeks answers. If you choose to participate this week, take the link. You don’t have to talk about every subject, I think Greyduck wanted us to pick what we would say, but they are short and sweet so I answered them all.

  4. Jamie Says:

So what did you do to get to a more healthy weight? I’ve been trying to figure out what to do for myself… I’ve been considering Atkins, but it seems like it might be a risky thing to do….. but I’m just curious as to what has worked for you?

  5. Wendi Says:

I would love to tell you that I’m on this great diet and that I’ve learned to eat healthy, but unfortunately I owe all my success to my anxiety of the divorce and finding out how much I’ve been betrayed in my marriage. It created a situation where I couldn’t eat and now I can’t eat alot or I get sick. I’m trying to keep my portions small and not make the mistake of over eating when I can eat. Hopefully I can keep this weight off, but we all know how weight loss during stress usually doesn’t stay. However I’m hoping that between the smaller portions and the exercise I’m doing, water aerobics are the best, I can keep this off. It’s so nice to be able to walk up stairs without my knees hurting.
