PULSE

For the last day of the summer term, my GED class got the opportunity to see PULSE at the OmniMax. Pulse is the creation of the people behind STOMP. For those of you clueless few who just crawled out from under a rock or landed here from some alien planet, Stomp is a musical using everyday objects like brooms, trashcans and boxes to make music and infectious rhythems.

Pulse goes a little bit further, they explore the rhythmic dances and sounds of various cultures from around the world. It’s beautiful, gorgeous, fun and wild. If you have not taken the opportunity to see Pulse, you HAVE to go. Those of you in the Portland area can hit Omsi for a showing. I recommend you do, it’s worth every penny and is a great experience.

Some of the dancers were enjoying themselves so much and enjoying the music they were making that I got teary eyed at their performances. I cannot keep my eyes dry when I see people showing their love of their music. It seems to touch a deep chord within me.

NOTE: For some goofy reason my “reviews” section number count doesn’t work. So even though it says 0 entries. I do have entries there.
