Me and some more rascals
A question was left in the last post about how I became a dj. I don’t know if I’ve talked about it before, but I became a dj rather easily.
I had been a karaoke Dj in the past, for two years in fact. I had worked for another person and had recently quit because I needed a break. A friend of my husband was needing a KJ for their company party they were holding. They were bringing in a Dj from a company called Complete Music and they were bringing all the equipment and music, she just wanted to have someone be the host for the karaoke contest. I did my part, the Dj did his part and afterwords he asked me if I had ever thought about being a Dj. I asked what was involved and was told that the company provided all music and equipment, I just needed to have transportation. As I had a van, I did indeed have a suitable ride. I was working for someone else at the time, making jewelry with flowers and our business had hit a slump when an expected order didn’t come in. So I was out of work for a couple of months and decided to see if being a Dj would possibly be suitable for a second income for me.
I had an interview, got hired and the rest they say is history. I found a job that fits me like a glove. The only problem is that I don’t work full time. Athough if I put a little more effort and hound people for bookings at shows I probably could have more work. But I’m not agreesive. Although I know enough poeple now that I could probably start my own business, I like having the company book everything for me and just tell me where to go. I don’t have to worry about finding music, finding bookings, or keeping the equipment up.
So that’s it in a nutshell. I’m an employee of Complete Music at the Portland, Oregon franchise. We’re a national company so you can find us across the country. So far, I have been very happy working for them.
Now for some rascals. As I said earlier, I have alot of friends in Yahoo’s religion room 2. A general room that has everybody of every religion show up. I introduced you to Chaos, and now I want to introduce you to Skeptic67. A rascal if there ever was one. A hedonist by his own admission, an atheist by choice, Skeptic is a total ham. Naughty to the extreme, he’s our scandalizing rover. Prefers affairs with no attachments, lives for the here and now, likes religious/philosophical discussions that are logical and to the point, He does not suffer fools, and he likes making people laugh. He’ll say the most outrageous things to get a rise out of people. He’s a runner and runs marathons regularly, has a beautiful son and been married twice but no more. I’m under orders (wink) to invite all ladies who would like a flirtatious, fun, naughty fling with no strings to look him up. His handle plus a yahoo (dot)com will get you an introduction. (wicked laughter)
Somehow I earned his respect, not real sure how, but he had these really nice words to say about me: “…You are the most level-headed, fair person I think I’ve ever met in chat (and that includes all so-called scientific thinkers)……….I know you fairly consider evidence…….I know you judge people on their merits rather than their popularity…” I think that is probably the most awesome compliment I have recieved in a long time.

Dear Wendylynn:
Thanks for your comment on my ‘blog. You’re very brave to leave that statement in an open forum — and how true you are in stating that it’s going to take a LOT of work to keep that girl from remaining (and ending up) a ‘victim’.
Would that everyone saw that — but believe me; I’m glad it was ME that was on that jury!
Best,
-Will
