Let it snow, Let it sleet, Let it rain
Yes folks, in one 48 hour stretch we will have snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain. Sounds like fun yes? We have a driving wind that has pushed the snow to be 8 inches in some places, and scowered roofs and streets bare in others.
Gotta love Portland. We rarely have snow, and when we do it’s usually the 24 hour kind. We get short nasty bursts of beautiful weather that turns the city into a ghost town for a day. Then the sun comes out or the rains come and melt it all away.
So for now…there is snow everywhere. I’m sitting here with my hot chocolate and my chat friends and watching the snow. The kids are playing on the computers or building snowmen.
Perhaps I’ll do some writing. I finally got the information I needed to finish the one story I’m working on. So I can get that finished finally. That reminds me, in all the craziness of my dad’s cancer I never mentioned what I did for NaNo. I ended the month with just over 11,000 words, which is pretty good for someone who started a new storyline half way through the month. I have reallly enjoyed writing and now I’m going to work on becoming good at it. While I pursue schooling and such, I think I’ll make sure to keep a creative writing class always in my scedule so that I can develope the skill I’ve just discovered.
