My Father- update
Okay, for those of you who may be curious as to how my dad is doing down in Arizona and how his cancer is progressing, here’s an update: From an email of my mom’s.
He sleeps most of the time. We have to wake him up to eat and take meds. He eats like a bird. Two or three bites. The meds have him so out of it. He knows who we are and where he is at, but if you talk to him, it has to be in short question. He goes to sleep in the middle of a thought and/or sentence.
He has lost a lot of weight. He might be 170 by now. He is slim like Taylor. He is on oxygen now.
I am trying to put together things for his history to be read and I need from you any memory or something about him that you always remembered about him that you would like to have read at the funeral. They tell me this is easier now then later, but I don’t know.
We’re hanging in there. I don’t get hardly any sleep. I am still trying to work.
My mom is going through hell. I can only hope that my siblings are being a good help.
I’m going to miss my dad. Once I get my dad’s history written up, I’ll post it so you can see what I remember. My dad wasn’t perfect, far from it, but he was my dad.
