Dj’s and Lunch

Last night I Dj’d a company party. They were bringing in gambling tables and had me there to play fun music while people had fun. I was also training a new Dj. First event for him, he hadn’t even done any training yet. So this was the first he’d seen of anything.

All I can say is…oh my goodness, the brides are going to like him. He’s a personal trainer and wants just a little extra income and some fun. So he’s well built, muscles, and has blue eyes that look like ice they are so pale. I don’t care for muscles…but the ice blue eyes…oh my goodness. And he was funny, very snarky and we teased and played all night. We had so much fun. I told my boss that he had good instincts and would be a good Dj. And since he’ll look drop dead gorgeous in a tux, I know the brides will like him.

He talked mostly of his family though, his wife apparently wants to seperate, for the umpteenth time, they have a child and he talked about his wife and daughter most of the night.

We had fun though, he’ll be a good Dj, and I sat and listened when he wanted and needed to vent. Having just been at that point in life…I understand what it’s like. I think I have a new friend in him, I’ll rarely see him, but it’s good to finally be friends with one of my co workers again…makes being part of a group of Dj’s easier, instead of feeling like your a bunch of strangers.

Today, I went and had lunch with C. We went to Greek Cuisna and had a good time talking. He’s known me for awhile and we talk online. He reads this journal so I have to behave and say nice things about him…(wink) *chuckles*
Seriously though…chuckles again…we had a good time. He’s very relaxed and easy to talk to. I didn’t feel awkward even when we were both eating some really messy food. We talked about all sorts of things, even touched on religion a bit.

One of the barometers I use is if I can talk religion with someone. I’m religious, I’m going to be religious the rest of my life…if a person has a problem with it, or they are uncomfortable with it, or think it’s a fad, it’s best for them to walk. Fortunately, I’m not pushy religious…don’t work that way.

So that lunch date ended friendly. C is very nice and I had a good time. He kissed me at the end of it just before I went to my car and it was nice.

Now I spend the rest of today gearing up for a pta meeting. More info. on that later.
