Funny thing happened…
So I was taking the kids to OMSI yesturday. While we were out getting lunch the two girls were pestering my son. I babysit two sisters during the summer. They are 11 and 5, anyway the older girl and my daughter often will tease and flirt with my son. Who being nearly 12 and not into girls yet, just finds it annoying pestering by two girls.
So I’m listening to this, and it hadn’t reached any level of pestering that required me to step in and put a stop to it. I’m listening to this, and my son is really holding his own just fine and then as we get to OMSI and get out of the car, He looks over at me and says with a straight face…
“It’s like WW1 without any allies.”
I died. Totally cracked me up. It came completely out of the blue and you just don’t expect a historical reference like that out of a kid. He didn’t really understand what I thought was so funny, but I loved it anyway, and he seemed to enjoy that whatever was so funny about what he said, he had made me laugh.

That’s absolutely hilarious!!!
And I know what he’s going through. I’m leading a children’s program at my church all week and for some reason, I am a magnet to 11yr old girls. I have a whole gaggle of them who just won’t leave me alone!
