I’m back
Yeah, I know your all excited. I have what…one reader? maybe two…chuckles. However many readers I have one thing is clear…you guys don’t post enough comments.
Anyway, the week is over, back to the old routine and the old grind. But it’s not really the old routine because things are a little different now. I learned something about myself this week, which was a wonderful week btw, despite a couple of problems. I learned that I’ve taken my “wait and see” approach to things a little farther then I intended. We all do this of course…try an approach and when it shows it’s eventual problems, we fix it. I’m still on “wait and see”, but now I’ve a little bit better idea on exactly what I need to take in hand and what I need to leave up to the guy. I had a fantastic time with BG, we have alot in common, but we also come from two different backgrounds within our church growing up years. It made for some interesting conversations.
We went walking all over the place. Victoria, British Columbia is a gorgeous place. I loved it there and saw a few things I want to take my kids to go see. Buchart Gardens is just beautiful, whether you like gardens or not, it’s stunning. We went hiking around and also checked out the county fair up there. Jo Dee Messina put on a show, which I just loved. I had no clue that most of her songs feel like they came right out of a moment in my life. I also know most of her songs even though I don’t own a single record. She has a new one coming out and she shared some of the songs from, it’s going to be a good record. Just as enjoyable as her last one. And I have just one thing to say about her voice….DAMN! She’s good. She’s very, very, very good. She has alot of power to that voice and her control is amazing. I loved it.
We did some stargazing, he gave me a couple of massages to die for…and he complained they weren’t his good ones, we did a lot of walking around. More then I’ve done in months. I loved it. I needed this. I had a chance to just relax, which I did, and do alot of thinking about myself. His personality is such that it doesn’t allow me to stay what I got used to being. He demands a reaction from me. I liked that. At the fair he poored some water on me, I told him I was going to beat him up, and he replies with, “I sure hope so.” It was really nice going and doing stuff that I like to do with someone who enjoys doing it too. The downside is that this is probably the last time I’ll really get to see him, he starts school soon and his schedule that he showed me is going to be insane. With my schedule and his, we’ll be lucky if we can exchange emails regularly. In either case, I had a great time, learned a thing or two, and had a rather profound experience in it’s own way.
