But The Village was trying too hard to offer a big payoff ending and, well, it didn't offer it. She had to have a reason to want to walk through that forest. I wouldn't mind getting told what she was told though. But then I'm a romantic. The sappy porch scene went toward character motivation. And I love Sigourney Weaver. I really liked Signs, and Geoffrey complained about the sappy scenes in that one, but they made sense to me. Oh, I can’t wait to see this movie!
