The first time my kids spent extended time away, they were gone for 8 days, and I practically worried myself sick over whether I was a bad mom for not missing them at all. Finally I came to the conclusion that if you know your kids are being supervised by good & loving people, your heart is secure & knows there is no need to worry or miss them.
