I certainly don't think that's "no big deal" - my kitchen currently looks like the aftermath of feeding the Mongol hordes, and it's the room I hate cleaning most so it often looks like that. I finally got on top of keeping my living room & computer room tidy consistently, after getting tired of looking at the clutter & papers & boxes of misc stuff that I kept tripping over. There was a while there (okay, probably all of last year & the first half of this year) that my whole house was a disaster, but I've found the happier I am, the easier it is to keep on top of this stuff. Major kudos for you on your accomplishment, and don't let anyone tell you it's not a big one!

agreed. housework is often linked to how your feeling. The happier you are, the more you feel like taking care of those things around you.
