Calm Stomach

This pregnancy is different in one very good respect from my first two. I’m not throwing up. I felt nauseous for three weeks or so, but I haven’t been waking up sick for the last three days and I don’t start feeling nauseous if I don’t eat every two hours. Certain foods will make me ill if I eat them, so I don’t. But over all, the nauseousness is gone. With my two older kids I threw up from about 4 weeks to about six months, it was miserable. I won’t even go into the routine my son put me through at breakfast.

I still have too much gas in my stomach, but that’s managable, even if anti-acids don’t work. I’m just glad I can now concentrate on other things then trying to keep my stomach where it’s supposed to be. I’ve gotton nothing done because I’ve spent all my time focused on my rebellious stomach. The only time I’ve felt sick in the last three days is when I go grocery shopping. I turn green the minute I walk in the store. I may have to start using that online ordering service if it keeps up.

Well, no sickness is definitely a wonderful difference from most pregnancies, isn’t it?

oh yes. But there is a flip side to all this. My friend Jere in Australia is also due same time as me. However, she’s never carried past four weeks. This one is hanging on and all signs look good. But she worries over every cramp, grumble, and squeek her body makes. Having me at the same stage, helps her to feel better about what is just normal pregnancy stuff.
