Greyduck reminded me this morning that today was our first former wedding anniversary. That means it’s almost a year that we’ve been divorced. Although I’ve considered myself “divorced” since this all started.

Nothing is really different. But I did find it amusing that I had completely forgotton about today and Greyduck had to remind me. *chuckles*

I was thinking recently that despite everything we’ve gone through the last 14 years together, I don’t regret going through them. I sometimes wish things could have been better, but there are some valuable lessons I wouldn’t have learned otherwise that I consider absolutely necessary for me to have learned.

I also believe that we are all happier people in the long run. Greyduck has been a better person since we split and while E still has to go through a lot of adjustments, Having happier parents will help her out in the long run too.
