Forks in the Road of Life
Life took a big left turn today. Now all sorts of things are up in the air. What it means for our little family I don’t know, but we will have to rethink how things are done. What it may mean for this blog also is up in the air.
But, I do want to catch you guys up on what the kidlets are doing. A is doing fantastic, he’s lost ten lbs in the last couple weeks and his clothes are just hanging on his bones. It’s so funny, all that wrestling and exercise finally caught up with him.
As for E, she’s working hard to reverse how she has let herself become the last three years or so. She finally told me the other day, “Life is a lot more fun when you participate in it.”…I had to agree. She still has her temper issues but at least she’s attempting to be involved instead of glaring at life. She’s also working hard at getting her school work all up to snuff.
As for the Tadpole, he’s still the biggest achiever of them all right now. He’s ten months old and stands all by himself for a few minutes. He can even hold a toy and shake it around without falling. He walks all over the place as long as he’s holding onto something. My hands usually. He climbs into my lap, turns around, grabs my hands and then jumps off, that’s how he tells me it’s time to go walking. He isn’t sleeping through the night yet but his eating is down to every four hours, he eats all the meals we do and likes everythign he tries so far. He’s not so sure about the green pureed veggies, but hey, I prefer them unpureed too. (hehe)
Tadpole is down to two naps during the day for the most part…..he may take a short 30 minute nap here or there, and his bedtime is still adjusting. Sometimes we get a 9 pm bedtime and sometimes it’s midnight….But I’m sure that will settle itself soon enough. He’s got his front 8 teeth and I saw the gums rising for the canines on the bottom, so that will begin at some point. Although he is occasionally more fussy while sleeping, so I figure those times must be bothering him more then others.
As for me,, I’m still trying to get everything squared away for school. I have to go get my measles shot because we can’t find my old shot record. I’m also getting everything together for my financial aid. My hopes is to have all this done by the time april 1st comes around.
