If its not one thing its another
The last few weeks have been very interesting around here. The kids started school, I started working my normal shift and I got registered for school. To say that our days and nights are full is to put it mildly. But for all the hassle we deal with, its nice to be able to pay all my bills. Its nice not worrying how I’m buying groceries.
The nervous part of my life was starting school next week while working full time. Would the kids be able to handle the extra responsiblity and school that I must place on them. Do I have the self discipline to make this work? Well, the bank for my car loan decided to add “How do I get from one place to another?” to the list of worries. Because of the summer festivities I had gotton behind. Once I was working I set up with them a repayment plan to get my acct currant. Things were going well. I was scheduled to make my next catch up payment yesturday. So imagine my surprise when not two hours after I get home from work at 9 in the freaking morning a tow truck comes to take the car. I call up HSBC and they “claim’ I’ve missed my payment so have defaulted on the loan. My arrangement is to make the payments by Moneygram on scheduled days. Its nine in teh morning, I haven’t yet sent the payment, yet I’m defaulting on my loan. Yeeeeaaahhhh. Okay, right. Well now that its been towed, I have 15 days to pay all the back payments or they sell the car at auction and then I have to pay the balance not covered at auction.
I’m starting school this week. In most cases I have only two hours between work, school and kids to get people places and get to work/class. I did NOT need this. So, I’m going to take the money I was going to pay today and see if I can find myself a cheap little car to carry me around for say three or four months. Without a car payment I’ll be able to save up for a nice down payment by then. I’ll have my credit screwed up by defaulting on the loan, but I cannot wait until I have the money they want to get my car out. I have to get to work and school and get Tadpole to and from daycare and all the rest of it.
I did not need this added irritation.
