The Solution….so far…
After a brief deluge of hopeless tears, I got to work trying to figure out how to get my car back. The chances of finding someone to take me up there and finding the time to go up there are pretty nil. So I called them to see if there was any way they could help me on this. Since somebody took it up there, could anyone bring it back. Turns out there was. And it turns out they are bringing a load down to Portland either Thursday or Friday. So, for a very reasonable fee, I’m getting them to bring my car back. I’ve overnighted any monies I owe the auction lot, so they can release the car to the transporter. While this is still costing me an additional 300 someodd dollars, I’ve found the auction lot people and the transporter to be extremely nice and understanding people. While my loan people pulled up their nose and have acted like I’ve gotton what I’ve deserved.
I was really really happy with HSBC auto the first time I had a car loan with them. This second time around, just is for the birds.
