Dancing with the Starved
I don’t like reality TV. Its either stupid or I get jealous. (i.e. singing stuff) And since I work graveyard its easy to avoid. Well, this season on Dancing with the stars has Marie Osmond as one of the dancers. The only reason I even know about this is because in her first dance she wore a neat costume that had a slit up the side of her hip. On one of the LDS forums that I frequent there were a few people who just got irate that she was wearing less modest clothing then we temple going LDS are supposed to wear. Certain sacred clothing we wear makes that kind of clothing a little difficult to pull off. There are exceptions of course, bathing suits, showers and anything else we feel is appropriate to the situation.
(I”m being facetious about the shower thing, but there are people out there who actually think we have to shower with them on…)
Some LDS have a problem with her costume, some don’t. I’m one of the ones who don’t. Compared to what professional ballroom dancers wear, she’s being very modest. Besides… I wish my legs looked half that good.
Anyway… so I watched the first weeks episodes on You Tube, thought, “Not Bad” and since there were four weeks to watch, I watched them all. So now I’m hooked to seeing how this turns out because we have a very funny, personalble group of people this year dancing.
And just to prove how funny they are, Marie Osmond created two short clips with the help of her dance mates using the dolls created for each dancer. The first clip is just Marie and Jonathan, her dance partner. Its the second clip that gets them all into the action…
Watch for who is actually playing dolls in the second clip. *chuckles*
