Past, Present, Future - Round Eighteen
PAST: How well do you remember your childhood, especially before age 10 or so?
I remember quite a bit about my childhood, I know that my earliest memory I was about 3 years old, and I was playing in the snow. What gets me are the memories that are brought on by smells and you remember the smell but not why you remember the smell.
PRESENT: Do you keep track of things like appointments and pertinent facts well, or do things tend to fall out of your short term memory?
I used to until I had a job where I sniffed fumes for a living. Now if I don’t write it down, it’s history.
FUTURE: A medical procedure becomes available that promises a complete restoration of every memory you’ve ever stored in your brain. Do you take advantage of it?
Why pay money for something that will happen when we get resurrected anyway? ;-D But seriously, I’m happy having a haze over some of my memories. Until the times comes when I can look at them without pain, for the painful ones, I’m happy to forget and just go on with what I do remember.
